“But for the people who want to truly live this life… and use the tools of technology, but not be enslaved or made more stupid by using it — there is a future you and I must create.”
Great read! AI is not going anywhere and I’m certain that more “creators” will come out of the wood works over the next few years. because the access and promises of AI. But it seems to that we are being suffocated with how much AI can do for us. I just signed up for a class a few weeks ago to train an AI assistant. Not a bad thing but just feels off to me. Like, where are we going with this? I aborted the mission after a few training videos. I’m not sure if or when I will get back to it. Seems like the next right thing to do, but not, at the same time.
Funny, I knew about Dead Internet Theory, without knowing it had a name. Thanks, Mark!!
As a trained journalist/professional content writer, I love AI for the low-hanging fruit -- to use as a "tool", not to replace what makes me great at my job. And when people ask if I'm concerned AI will replace me, I'm like, "You obviously don't understand what I do."
And for my own personal creative writing, uh-uh, it's 100% authentic. Thankfully, a wee slice of AI in my day job for the itty-bitty-gritty mundane stuff gives me more time for my own writing in my free time.
I think AI in the right hands is a gift. In the lazy, sadly, it's "inertia in a code".
Love the title… I want AI to do the laundry so I can be more creative!
Excellent. How have I never heard of Dead Internet Theory? 🤯 *researches furiously*
Haha. That's how I felt when I heard about it!
Preach preach preach preach preach! Every word. Love it.
Thanks Natalie! Love you :)
