The Answer Is Right There
Accepting your brilliance heals your worth
“The medicine we need is in the work we’re avoiding.”
I don’t know that there is any more potent truth on this planet than that simple statement.
To acknowledge that you already know the path to your evolution would be to acknowledge your own brilliance.
If what you’re being asked to do requires hard conversations, and you’re unwilling to do that, you will be required to discard your brilliance.
If what you’re being asked to do requires you to abandon your role in your family, culture, community, or faith, and you’re unwilling to do that, you will be required to discard your brilliance.
If what you’re being asked to do requires you to let go of your wounds and traumas, and you’re unwilling to do that, you will be required to discard your brilliance.
If what you’re being asked to do requires you to abandon parts of your identity (that you’ve defined yourself with), and you’re unwilling to do that, you will be required to discard your brilliance.
The cost of continuing to dance in the charade that you don’t know what you need to do is not minute — it impacts not only your biology (with inflammation), but also your psychology. It will masquerade as anxiety and depression. It will require you to adopt different addictions to prevent yourself from hearing yourself. It’ll show up as weight gain, confusion, feeling like you’re going bananas…
All while, as Lisa Nichols said in a workshop I attended of hers once, “because you don’t want to put your big-boy pants on and have a hard conversation.”
When we take responsibility for our lives, we change our lives.
When we hear our hearts, we heal them.
When we not only hear the call of the soul, but also answer it, we put ourselves in divine alignment with the timeline the universe has in store for us.
Look, deviating from our path illuminates our path.
Sometimes we need to abandon who we are to know where our edges lie. Sometimes we need the pains of life to wake us up from the trance of becoming like everyone around us.
It might sound redundant or cheesy to say this, but who really gives a f*ck.
The chances of you, as you are, existing, are next to none. You are truly a miracle embodied. You are the work of so many divine forces…
And you’re going to sit here and wallow in mediocrity? You’re going to spend your life suspended in a pattern and/or relationship because you’re sacred of what’s beyond it and maybe having people feel some feelings?
Your liberation is theirs… and love demands that you not only step into your fullest potential, but you also invite others to do the same.
Your healing, is theirs, just like your stagnation becomes theirs.
You don’t owe the people you love compliance or powerlessness, you owe them the truth.

Yes! Nodding along... and Mary Oliver’s poem The Journey came to mind:
"One day you finally knew
what you had to do, and began,
though the voices around you
kept shouting
their bad advice
though the whole house
began to tremble..."
As I have practiced sharing my authentic thoughts and feelings in the face of rejection and judgement, the anxiety that once riddled my body and took over my mind disappeared. The meaning of freedom of expression and love have become the sacred act of not just speaking truth, but being congruent with my soul. The soul loves all beings and that light of love is found when we represent truthful thought and action.
So much credit to Mark and his Beloved for walking the Liberated Love path.🙏
