You’re ready for far more than you let yourself experience… You just confuse “readiness” with confidence… you confuse it with certainty… you confuse it with an absence of fear.
But the truth is that the moment you desire something from deep within, you are ready for it. Your soul has called you towards a possibility that is already realized by a future version of you.
Wow. Think about that — that the calling towards something is because your soul knows that it must come to life, because it already has in the not-so-distant future.
What if your intuition and knowings are actually you feeling into a future version of you who already knows your path? They’re just trying to nudge you towards it?
This is why your passions are not by accident. The pains of your life that wake you up and try to teach you what’s important to you are not life punishing you… They are opportunities to learn the curriculum necessary to bring to life what is asking to be birthed. (This isn’t to minimize your suffering… rather, it’s an invitation to be empowered through what you’ve been through.)

I have been recently working with a coaching client named
. Ryan recently left his role as a high school teacher to pursue his dream of coaching, mentoring, and working with people on creating a life that feels aligned… and experiencing life as an adventure while doing so. Not only does he mentor people in person and virtually, he brings them on experiences that remind them that they are ALIVE! And that life is to be lived! He has one planned for August in Banff, Alberta (one of the most spectacular places on the planet!) and it’s going to be epic!I share Ryan’s courageous leap because he recently shared that his new life has not been as lucrative as he had envisioned… and he’s been stressed about that. He’s careful not to get into a “scarcity mindset” but wanted some guidance on how to keep going and trust his new life, work, and mission. SOUND FAMILIAR?!
Here’s what I told him:
Any work that helps pay for the new mission is an investor in the mission. As in, if you need to take on work to stay the course, you do what it takes. It is not a failure or going backwards or giving up to make sure your bills are paid, you have food on the table, and the people you love are supported too.
We do what we can to make sure we have the nervous system capacity to hold the changes that are occurring… AND, it’s all progress! Any belief in anything different is a belief borrowed from someone else that keeps them small.
Big dreams require big recalibrations — as the saying goes, “Rome wasn’t built in a day.” And neither were you.
I see these wobbly moments that we all have as a test to see if we really want what we say we want. CAN WE STAY THE COURSE?!
So, I share this with you because maybe you’re in a moment of transition like Ryan has been, and maybe it’s not your business that you're birthing, but rather a boundaried and more aligned version of you… Or maybe it’s bringing your voice to your world…
YOU WILL WANT TO QUIT. YOU WILL WANT TO STOP. YOU WILL WANT TO GET OUT OF THE UNCOMFORTABLE FEELING THAT IS YOUR NERVOUS SYSTEM HOLDING THIS MORE EXPANDED VERSION OF YOU.
The people pleaser quits. The part of you that’s afraid to fail quits. But there’s another part of you who is now driving the car… and that part needs to hold steady, put life on cruise control, and get through this moment where you’re questioning everything.
Put your hand on your heart and ask your soul, “Can you help me hold this recalibration and trust this journey?”
The answer is YES.
You got this. I got this. We got this.
Ps. If you need support in stepping into alignment with your calling and making the leap, whether that’s in your relationships or your life — get on the waitlist to work with me — there’s an application here.
Oof, needed to see this, just launched my coaching biz, working on client acquisition while also looking for a full time job. I had felt like a bit of a failure that my biz wasn't instantly profitable, and even knowing that will take time, I felt like "needing" a job is counter to actualizing my dream. It seems it's part of the actualization process. Thanks for the insights <3
This post popped up on my feed at just the right time. Thank you for the encouragement! 💪🏻 And absolutely agree 💯 with “What if your intuition and knowings are actually you feeling into a future version of you who already knows your path? They’re just trying to nudge you towards it?” YES.
