Let It Die
On the reluctance to release what is complete
Back in 2020, I was speaking to a friend who is a clairvoyant and she said something to me I never forgot, “At some point you’re going to get tired of talking exclusively about relationships, and if you don’t shift what you’re talking about, people will stop listening.”
To be honest, when she said that, part of me thought, “nahhhhhhh.” And another part went… “YAAAAAAAAAAA.”
Sometimes people notice in us the thing we’re not ready to notice… and instead of confronting what is stirring inside of us, we often distance from them, get defensive, and push them away… I know this, because I’ve done this.
What’s interesting is that when I met the moment she spoke of, I didn’t pivot. I didn’t honour the dharmic pull to shift. I stayed loyal to what I knew over loyalty to my purpose. I was more interested in comfort than expansion.
I’ve had to learn throughout my life over and over again how painful it is to abandon that voice… and the more I listen to it not only the wiser it gets, the more that voice guides me… But the challenge is that as I go deeper and deeper into that level of surrender, I have a hard time trusting that life could be as simple as:
