You want to change.

You want to leave that relationship

You want to ask the person you’re newly dating, “What is going on between us? What are we creating together?”

You want to quit something.

You want to start something.

And yet, here you are, suspended in the same place of inaction that you have found yourself hovering in most of your life.

Now granted, your life isn’t abysmal. And, it’s also not amazing.

Your job isn’t the best. But it doesn’t suck.

Your relationship isn’t thriving. But it’s not dead. Yet.

Your body isn’t super fit. But you’re not dead. Yet.

Your nutrition isn’t dialled. But you haven’t died. Yet.

You are the home of mediocrity… yet you crave MORE.

(Look, if you don’t crave more, amazing… this article isn’t for you. And, I’m not shaming you for not wanting more. This is for people who know they’ve got potential sitting in the world of possibilities, and want to step towards it.)

Mediocre is great for some people… It’s just not for me.

Years ago I had a friend say to me, “Mark, I know you want to change the world and help people. I just want to travel and enjoy my life. I don’t work at a job I love… but I only work to pay my bills and enjoy the world.”

Great. I sometimes envy that… but I didn’t come here to do a job I don’t love. I didn’t come here to fuck around when it comes to my potential. I’m here to go to my maximum and have the greatest impact I can have on humanity.

Sometimes I wish I could turn that off… but I can’t. And if you’re reading this, likely you can’t either.

So let’s stop trying to figure out how to numb ourselves from the awareness that we have potential and possibility gnawing at us, and just get to fucking work.

That’s the first step… accepting that it’s true.

So, what is it that you TRULY want? What is it that you’re afraid to claim? What truth are you avoiding acknowledging?

Once you can name it, you can move towards it.

Now, here comes the hardest part…
