Know this: you do not need to rush life.
Grief, pain and loss have a way of hitting us so hard, square in the face, that we are left stunned. We are forced to be here now. We are forced to feel it all. We are forced to see that the story isn't going how we planned.
This moment, where we are blind to the future, is where the magic is.
Why? Because when we can no longer see a future, we are forced to feel our way into one. We are invited back into the wisdom of our hearts. We are re-introduced to our intuition. Time is at a standstill.
As Francis Weller says, “We develop a different form of vision. Eyes that see in the dark.”
When we get addicted to how a future has to look, we often forget how we want it to feel. Our egos write the story instead of our souls. Loss brings us back to our feelings. Loss brings us back home to our hearts, where all stories and futures are truly written.
Here’s to writing some new stories.
What are some of yours that are waiting to be written?
Navigating divorce and in the midst of the dark and messy part. Good things are on the horizon - trusting I’ll land where I’m meant to, and I’ll get there when I’m supposed to.
Here’s to writing wonderful new stories out of the grief…Thank you.
